Branded with the Wilkinson trademark paying homage to Thomas Wilkinson, a renowned Master Cutler. Wilkinson invented and patented the ‘sidebent’ scissor which is the blueprint for every pair of dressmaking and tailors’ shears you see today. “Thomas Wilkinson & Son” was incorporated by William Whiteleys in 1875.

The William Whiteley 10″ Wilkinson EXTRA SHARP Glide Lightweight Dressmaking and Upholstery Shears are super sharp yet lightweight dressmaking and upholstery scissors, with Xylan-coated blades.

Ideal for dressmaking and upholstery as their lightweight, comfortable plastic handles can be picked up time and time again whilst still remaining comfortable to use. Particularly ideal for anyone who suffers with arthritis in the hand or struggles to lift heavy scissors, but still wishes to use a larger shear for long cuts. As these scissors are constructed with the lower weight plastic handles they represent excellent value for a 10" blade.
