Sew good to know before you buy

What is your minimum fabric cut?

Our minimum cut is 10cm which we call a unit. 10 units = 1 metre. Please check that you are ordering the correct number of units for the required length.

Quick check

10 units = 1 metre
15 units = 1.5 metres
20 units = 2 metres

How can I pay?

We use the Shopify platform and accept payment from most major credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Postage Costs?

Australia

$1 to $180 - $12.95 flat fee using Australia Post
$181 and more - free postage using Australia Post.

New Zealand

$1 to $300 - $24 to $39 AUD. $301 and over - free
If we can package into a smaller package we will confirm price with you and issue a refund for the difference (NZ Customers only)

When do you post?

We prepare orders Tuesday though to Saturday and post every morning.
Orders placed before 2pm Tuesday to Thursday will be posted next day.
Orders placed after 2pm Friday, anytime Saturday will be posted Monday morning.
Sunday/Monday orders will typically be posted Wednesday morning.

Can I click and collect?

Yes. Orders placed before 2pm will be ready by 3pm Tuesday to Saturday. If you are running a bit late, call the shop and check if we can fit you in.

Do you have parking?

We have ample parking in Altree Court. There are disabled spots, 1 hour paid and 2 hour free parking. Parking for longer can be found in Divine Court. All our classes incorporate a "moving cars" time slot.

Are you accessible?

Completely. Entry to the store is flat with only the slightest bump with the door, before our ramp takes you to the shop floor.

I have a baby, can I breastfeed anywhere nearby?

If you need or want to breast feed in the shop we will make you welcome and provide you with a space you feel comfortable. If you need to heat a bottle, just ask.

I am a person wanting to learn to sew, will I feel welcome?

It is our aim to make anyone and everyone feel welcome and safe at Weft and Warp. We openly welcome and encourageeveryonein the community to come in, have a look and a talk, and know this is a safe and accepting space. If you would like to talk about your needs with some privacy, we will find a way to make that happen. If you don't feel comfortable or welcome, call us and let us fix things.
