Hand-painted in the Liberty studio using gouache, this trompe l'oeil design
blends heritage with contemporary artistic flair. Its floral motifs, drawn to
resemble gold embroidery, take inspiration from the elaborate ceremonial
garments of the Tudor period, where gilded embellishments conveyed
distinction and grandeur.

ABOUT THE CLOTH

This is BiBye, Manteco's double cloth, weighing in at 370gsm. Two cloths woven together, which is what gives it the body and the structure to hold a coat's shape.

It is made from MWool, Manteco's recycled wool. Wool waste - factory offcuts
and discarded garments - is mechanically shredded and respun, without
chemicals. The colour is not dyed: fibres are sorted by shade first, and the
colours come from blending them. Liberty print the design onto it using
waterless digital printing.

150th anniversary. Woven and printed in Italy.

This is coat weight. Think structured coats, capes, heavier jackets -
anything that needs to stand up rather than drape.
