Poppy Valley is a contemporary reworking of the beloved classic Poppy &
Daisy, which first appeared in Liberty's archival pattern books in the late
1910s. Enlarged and meticulously redrawn in fine, delicate outlines, this
version preserves the charm and spontaneity of the original. Its airy
composition and crisp detailing bring a fresh clarity to the design, while
retaining the unmistakable character of a quintessential Liberty floral.
ABOUT THE CLOTH
This is Ansedonia, Manteco's wool flannel - pressed, with the weave visible,
and a smooth warm handle. At 240gsm it is perfect for a range of garment projects.
It is made from MWool, Manteco's recycled wool. Wool waste - factory offcuts
and discarded garments - is mechanically shredded and respun, without
chemicals. The colour is not dyed: fibres are sorted by shade first, and the
colours come from blending them. Liberty print the design onto it using
waterless digital printing.

150th anniversary. Woven and printed in Italy.
At this weight it is a jacket rather than a coat - shirt-jackets, unlined
jackets, pinafores, skirts, trousers. Wearable across far more of the year
than you might think.
