From Liberty Fabrics comes Piper Lining, a 100% viscose lining fabric. The fabric is soft, silky and perfectly slippery for a perfect lining for a jacket, coat or waistcoat. The colours and designs provide that flash of colour, a cheeky hint of interest and make you feel a million bucks. This fabric turns any piece into elegance through its innate sartorial splendour.
The wing-like shapes of this immersive pattern almost seem to rise and unfold in unison, creating a complex choreography of form. Referencing the classical myth of Icarus, the design was derived from an archival Liberty piece from the late 1980s, with each element meticulously redrawn to retain the intricate linework of the original.
The Wings repeat at approx 6cm (and are approx 8 cm wide). The photo doesn't do this justice, the print is more vibrant and the gold colours are radiant.
