Short on time but curious about whether learning to sew is for you? Want to try sewing, but don’t want to invest in a machine until you are sure you will use it? This one-day workshop will get you started with the basics of how to use a sewing machine and then you will use your new skills to sew a useful tote bag.
In the morning session you will learn about the different parts of a sewing machine, threading and bobbin winding, stitching and basic troubleshooting. During the afternoon session you will start with the basics of how to use a pattern, cutting out fabric, and then sewing your tote bag project.
This workshop is for people who are brand new to sewing and want to gain foundational skills in a quick timeframe. No previous knowledge is assumed or expected. All fabrics, threads and patterns are included in the price.
