And the journey began

And the journey began
The journey started back in the 1980's when our mums worked together at my mums fabric, wool, craft and haberdashery shop, The Weatherboard Craft Shop in Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains. Every afternoon after school and most Saturday mornings I would go and help in the shop, cleaning, stacking shelves, cutting fabric, counting and sorting buttons, ordering bits and pieces and helping our local customers.

Forward to 1992 and after years of not really seeing each other, we went on a date and fell in love. By 1993 we were preparing to get married and I was carefully not watching my wife-to-be sew what would become her wedding dress

Over the past 29 years we regularly asked each other "what will we do when we grow up", and at least once a year the idea of opening a fabric shop was discussed. Each year the plans became more refined until in January 2021 we decided to give it a go.

Weft and Warp is the next stage on that journey. A fabric shop filled with the worlds best apparel fabric, laughter and friendship. A place where people come to be themselves, be happy and most of all, to share a love of quality fabric.
